Sea Star TSAAHTO Flight Demonstrator Modular Tankage Section Nears Completion
IOS is progressing with the construction of its Sea Star TSAAHTO orbital rocket. A demonstration launch to test guidance, telemetry, and the ocean launch system is upcoming. The rocket is designed to place a 45-pound (20.4-Kg) in polar low-earth- orbit. See See Star Construction photo above.

Neptune TSAAHTO Crew Module (CM) Flight Training Simulator Phase I Construction Completed!
The basic exterior and interior structure of the six-passenger CM (below) is complete; IOS Spacecraft Technicians and Engineers have begun Phase II: installing electronic systems and flight-simulator software.

Detailed trajectory analysis of the Sea Star TSAAHTO rocket has been completed!
Leon McKinney of McKinney Associates has completed a POST and OTIS analysis of the Sea Star TSAAHTO rocket. The results verified the orbital and payload capability of the design. Construction of the vehicle is underway.

October 2005: Interorbital Systems announces the sale of its first "Promotional Fare" spaceline ticket to Tim Reed of Gladstone, Missouri. Additional spaceline ticket sales are pending.

May 2005: Interorbital Systems successfully test fires a rocket engine with an expansion-deflection (E-D) nozzle.

December 2004: IOS static fires its GPRE 3.0KNHx engine several times for the sound crew working on the film "Serenity ". The IOS engine's sound will be applied to the rocket engines in the film.

July 2004: Interorbital Systems announces it will launch a satellite with the world's first privately- funded satellite launch vehicle (Sea Star SAAHTO)  in 2006.

August 2003:  Justin Houchin signs on with Interorbital Systems to become the first teenager in space.

January 2003: Interorbital Systems joins the X Prize competition.

November 2002: Interorbital Systems completes the Texas Aerospace Commission spaceport contract.

July 2002: Interorbital Systems chosen by Texas Aerospace Commission to design a Texas-based spaceport. IOS wins Phase I contract.

May 2002: Mercury 13 astronaut candidate, Wally Funk, signs on to become IOS' first astronaut-tourist.

January 2002: Interorbital Systems completes a site survey of Spaceport Tonga in the South Pacific.

January 2001: Interorbital Systems acquires an additional static test site in Mojave.

October 2000: Interorbital Systems receives a federal Launch License from the AST (Office of Commercial Space Transportation) to carry out launches to 120 miles altitude from the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.

December 1997: IOS completes its contract to provide tankage/fuel delivery system for Dick Rutan's Global Hilton nonstop around-the-world balloon flight attempt.
